It’s that time of year again….back to school….except it looks much different this year. As families make big decisions regarding their child’s education, it’s imperative that we love and support one another along the journey. Maybe Susie was a co-op director last year but feels uncomfortable doing so this year. Your friend, Sally, is unexpectedly jumping into homeschooling and looking for advice and community. Maybe all of your friends are okay with their children attending field trips, co-ops or gatherings…and you’re not. Maybe your homeschooling experience was not what you expected, and you decided to enroll your child into a public or private school. All of these scenarios are hypothetical, but totally possible. Maybe one of them resonates with you today.

I want to encourage you that no matter where you are on your journey, He goes before you. Look ahead mama. When we look to the left, right, or behind, we lose our focus. When we compare our journey to those around us, we lose our joy and become trapped in the comparison game. When we look to Him, we have peace. That sweet peace that surpasses all understanding. His peace is a promise; cling to it.

This year looks different for all of us. It’s important to get back to the basics. Remember your whys. Remember you are qualified. Remember you are chosen. Remember you are loved. Remember that He holds you.

“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.” Proverbs 4:25-27

Joyfully,
